How to use your Waler:

"A" & "D"  Style Top Walers: are used on traditional 8'(4) systems where the top bar is 20" down.  "A" Style waler wedge comes from side. "D" Style waler wedge comes down from top.  Uses dimensional 2” X 4” lumber. 

Wells Allen Brackets: are used on 8' (6) systems where the backing bar spacing is 16" OC and the top and bottom bars are only 8" from the top or bottom. They simply hook onto the accessory bolt located on the backing bars. There is a ramp that holds the wedge up and out of the way while you install the 2X4. Once your ready you can pound down on the wedge to tighten the 2X4 against the forms.
